I mentor teens and young adults who are struggling with things like depression, anxiety, addiction, identity issues, and just feeling lost in life. Why? Because I’ve been there.
I grew up in a loving home, but I never felt comfortable in my own skin. I stuttered badly as a kid, and when I found cannabis at 13, the stutter disappeared—but so did a part of me. That moment kicked off a long and painful chapter of addiction, from weed to opiates to benzos. I spent years caught in a cycle of jail, detoxes, treatment centers, and halfway houses. I know what rock bottom feels like. I also know how to climb out of it.
In 2016, after getting clean, I felt completely lost. I didn’t know who I was without drugs. A friend gave me a shot as a mental health tech at a psychiatric hospital. It changed my life. I found purpose in helping people who were going through what I had survived. Later, I was introduced to radical youth work by Dr. Wes Robins, and something clicked. I discovered I could connect with young people in a way that traditional therapy often couldn’t.
This is what Bounce Back Mentors is all about—meeting young people where they are, without judgment. I use real conversation, real-life experience, and a no-BS approach to help them feel seen, heard, and empowered to take back control of their lives.
Whether you’re a teen, a young adult, or a parent looking for support, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
Let’s bounce back, together.
