WHY I DO WHAT I DO

Here at Bounce Back Mentors...

Helping young people isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am.

There’s something incredibly powerful about sitting across from a teen or young adult who feels

like nobody “gets it” … and watching the moment they realize they’re not alone. That someone

does understand. That change is possible. That they are not broken — they’re just lost, like so

many of us once were.

I work with young people who are fighting silent battles — with anxiety, addiction, identity,

self-worth, and the weight of a world that often feels like too much. Not from a place of theory,

but from lived experience. I know what it feels like to lose yourself, to feel stuck, numb, angry, or

invisible. And I also know what it takes to come back from that.

What drives me is the connection — the honest, raw, real conversations that break down walls. I

don’t do labels or lectures. I listen. I ask questions. I challenge gently. I show up. Over and over

again. Because sometimes, consistency and truth are what make the biggest difference in a

young person’s life.

I believe in second chances, in fresh starts, and in the power of being seen for who you are —

not what you’ve done or what you’re going through.

This work matters because they matter. Every kid who thinks they're too far gone. Every young

adult who thinks it’s too late. Every parent who feels helpless watching their child spiral. I’m here

for them — not to fix them, but to walk beside them as they find their way back.

That’s why I do what I do. Because someone once showed up for me — and now it’s my turn.
